Early Responses To HyDry Flower

We invited 21 respected participants to consume HyDry and traditional flower without knowing which was which. All 21 participants preferred HyDry for its smooth smoke, flavorful terpenes, and enjoyable effects. They were shocked that they preferred flower that’s technically freeze-dried, though HyDry is so much more. In fact, one famous musician has called HyDry the best cannabis they’ve ever smoked in their life.

“No way is this freeze-dried cannabis!”

“Our customers are used to cheap prices equating to lower quality flower. Our dispensary can now be unique by offering high-quality flower at competitive prices.”

“This isn’t like any freeze-dried flower I’ve ever consumed.”

“We can’t wait to bring this process to our facility so we can offer fresh flower to our customers and reduce the bottlenecks at harvest time.”

It’s Not Freeze Dried. It’s HyDry by Cryo Cure.

HyDry is inspired by freeze drying, but it’s full of improvements to the standard process that doesn’t work for delicate cannabis flower. Whereas standard freeze-dryers extract all moisture from whatever goes inside them, Cryo Cure machines maintain the optimal moisture content to stabilize your plants’ cannabinoid and terpene profiles, as well as water activity, without risking mold or mildew development.

Dry And Sell Smokable Flower On Demand

Whether you’re producing HyDry flower or using our original Live Cured flower SOPs, our process is the first of its kind to turn fragile cannabis into a product you can deliver fresh year-round. When prepared and frozen according to our SOPs, fresh-harvested flower can be stored in a walk-in or chest freezer for as long as you’d like. Take flower out for processing as you need it without losing any terpenes, cannabinoids, and THC-A content, and without risking mold or bacterial growth.

  • Dry and cure fresh smokable flower at any time, for any buyer
  • Release favorite strains throughout the year
  • Preserving excess flower from your harvest means less retail discounting

FAQs About HyDry by Cryo Cure

What is HyDry?

HyDry is a combination process of traditional drying and Cryo Curing methods and techniques. It controls time, temperature, and pressure to maintain proper moisture content, blocking microbial growth in your flower and ensuring it doesn’t turn to dust.  It also preserves up to 98% of terpenes while stabilizing THC-A, cannabinoids, and water activity for a flavorful, aromatic, and smooth smoke. It is a much denser bud finish than Live Cured flower and is ideal for hand rolling or pre-roll machines.

How long does the HyDry process take?

In the HyDry process, the plant is allowed to dry back on the plant for two to three days during its cultivation cycle before harvest. Alternatively, it can be hung or rack-dried for three days, and then put in the freezer. Thereafter, the Cryo Cure process, which fully dries and cures your product to achieve top-shelf flower, requires an average of 11 to 13 hours in the Cryo Cure machine.

What size cultivation benefits from HyDry?

You’ll benefit from HyDry no matter how many (or few) plants you’re cultivating. Any size grow, from microlicenses to MSOs and LPs that grow by the tonnage, can benefit.

Is HyDry freeze-dried flower?

In the broadest sense, yes, but on a technical level, the two couldn’t be more different. HyDry is achieved by a combination of sublimation and traditional drying methods. The machines are  designed specifically for hemp and cannabis and doesn’t destroy flower’s best qualities as with typical freeze-drying.

How does HyDry flower roll?

For consumers, it rolls and smokes just like regular cannabis they are used to purchasing! HyDry also works well for large pre-roll machines to produce at scale.

Is HyDry GMP-compliant?

Yes! All HyDry and Cryo Cure equipment is GMP-certifiable, and so are all of our SOPs.
